MyWell-Being Summer Non-Clinical Intern
Summary
The MyWell-Being intern will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of wellness programs and resources for Parkview Health coworkers. Initiatives may include the Parkview BikeShare, Parkview Pacers, MyWell-Being Walk Across Indiana Challenge, Walking Club, Intramural programs, Renewal Workshops, and MyWell-Being blog postings. The intern will work under the supervision of the department Supervisor and Coordinator, with additional responsibilities assigned as needed.
This internship will be actively involved in late spring, summer, and early fall wellness offerings, focusing on exercise-related opportunities that encourage coworkers to increase daily movement. A primary project will involve supporting the Parkview Pacers, Walk Across Indiana Challenge, and Walking Club, with an emphasis on growing participation from previous years. The intern will also contribute to the promotion and utilization of the Parkview BikeShare program on the PRMC campus.
Another key responsibility will be assisting in the planning and execution of MyWell-Being Intramural events, which may include pickleball, sand volleyball, cornhole, yoga, field day, basketball, bowling, and euchre. Additional projects may involve creating bi-weekly blog postings for the MyWell-Being SharePoint page and preparing for Renewal Workshops.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills, including one-on-one engagement and small group presentations
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Adaptable and able to shift focus as priorities change
The internship will require 24–40 hours per week, with scheduling based on departmental needs. Typical hours will fall Monday–Friday between 6:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Occasional early mornings or evening shifts may be required, not exceeding once per week.
Students pursuing degrees in health and wellness–related fields are strongly encouraged to apply, including:

Must be current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred depending on the hosting department of internship. Specific license and/or certification may be preferred depending on the hosting department of internship. GPA of 3.0 or above Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department of internship.
