IS Application Analyst – End User Computing
Summary
Responsible for managing and supporting enterprise desktop and application delivery environments, with a focus on Citrix technologies and automated application deployment. This role involves maintaining master images, virtual applications, and user profiles, as well as ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of end-user systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation, configuration management, and technical documentation, along with a strong commitment to excellent customer support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Citrix environments, including app layering, virtual machine management, and user profile management.
- Oversee application deployment through scripting and automation tools.
- Support application virtualization and delivery across Citrix and Windows platforms.
- Develop and maintain master images (preferably using MDT) for enterprise desktop deployments.
- Manage and enforce Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for system configuration and compliance.
- Implement security hardening standards for Windows desktops.
- Provide remote and telephone customer support with a focus on responsiveness and resolution.
- Maintain and manage PC and thin client environments.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for processes, systems, and configurations.
- Collaborate with other I/S teams to ensure smooth delivery of desktop and application services.
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or equivalent knowledge and skills obtained through four (4) years of comparable experience.
Licensure/Certification:
- Industry-recognized certification (e.g., Citrix, Microsoft, or CompTIA) a plus.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years in a comparable IT role.
- Experience managing Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops environments.
- Proficiency in Active Directory, including DNS, DHCP, and GPO management.
- Hands-on experience with application packaging, scripting, deployment, and imaging tools such as MDT.
- Strong background in desktop administration and support in enterprise environments.
