Summer Non-Clinical Intern
Summary
The Foundation Summer Internship provides students with hands-on experience in nonprofit operations and fundraising within a healthcare environment. Interns will support donor stewardship activities, assist with fundraising initiatives, and contribute to data management projects while gaining exposure to strategic initiatives and community engagement efforts. This internship is ideal for individuals interested in philanthropy, communications, nonprofit work, or business and offers an opportunity to build professional skills while contributing to meaningful projects that support the organization’s mission.
Interns will be involved in a variety of projects, including assisting with the delivery of gift-in-kind donations, supporting gift processing through deposit procedures and data entry, and helping manage donation-related requests and grateful patient prospecting efforts. Through these experiences, interns will gain insight into the day-to-day operations of a healthcare foundation and the role philanthropy plays in advancing patient care and community impact.
Successful candidates should demonstrate professional email etiquette, strong attention to detail, and basic proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite. The internship is structured as a daytime position with a 24–40 hour workweek, depending on departmental needs.
This internship is open to undergraduate students pursuing studies in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Social Work, or Business Administration may find this experience particularly relevant. Specific educational focus or degree may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship. A specific license and/or certification may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship. GPA of 3.0 or above. Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department of internship.
