Lung Nodule Pgm Clin Manager
Summary
Summary
The Lung Nodule Program Clinical Manager, in collaboration with executive and clinical leadership, develops a comprehensive program to reliably identify, triage, diagnose, evaluate and follow patients with lung nodules in those communities served by Parkview Health. Manages relationships between the Lung Nodule Program and collaborating medical specialties, including ambulatory medicine, emergency medicine, pulmonology, thoracic surgery, diagnostic radiology, oncology and radiation oncology to ensure patients are adequately managed and followed. Oversees the development of information system (AI) software capable of monitoring quality, timeliness of care, process efficiency and reliability, and lung cancer screening utilization. Regularly monitors performance metrics related to the Lung Nodule Program and implements changes through process improvement initiatives.
Manages assigned co-workers to include hiring, training/education, performance reviews and disciplinary action.
Engages with communities throughout the Parkview catchment area to provide education on lung cancer screening, prevention and management. Serves as an advocate for decreasing the incidence and mortality of lung cancer.
Education
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. An advanced degree, such as MSN, MPH, MHA or MBA is preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Must hold an active RN nursing license in the State of Indiana.
Experience
5 years of leadership experience, preferably in program development and team building. Experience in Information Technology and/or Informatics preferred. Experience with a focus on Oncology, Pulmonology or a related specialty preferred. 5 years of experience working closely with physicians, providers, and operational staff to facilitate care coordination, process improvement, program management, community outreach and engagement.
Other Qualifications
This individual must have solid written and verbal communication skills. A working knowledge of clinical operations, service excellence, and clinical quality initiatives. Must be able to solve problems and work with diverse groups throughout the organization. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Epic EMR.
