HPS Health Plan Analyst
Summary
As part of the HPS Team, the Health Plan Analyst assumes the responsibility for the development and maintenance of detail analysis, trending and reporting for the Employee Health Plan and Signature Care. Utilizing industry knowledge of medical and pharmacy claims data, medical and pharmacy benefits, as well as population health statistics, develops standards for reporting health plan information, and works with key stakeholders to monitor operations, support business decisions, and implement opportunities. Ensures data quality through the development and management of defined standards such as documentation and audits. Participates in compliance reporting as required
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience
5 years analytical experience required. Experience working with health plan administration and knowledge of health plan terminology, metrics, and claims data required.
Other Qualifications
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel and data visualization software. Strong problem solving skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex data. Proven ability to collaborate across multiple areas of the organization to produce optimal outcomes. Ability to interpret governmental reporting requirements and facilitate completion/submission. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to occasionally work flexible hours to implement solutions at the convenience of our customers.
