Summary
Summary
Responsible for the overseeing of the daily operations of Patient Access services, cash functions, up front collections, POS (point of service) collections and financial counseling. Conducts professional patient interviews and obtained demographic, financial and biographical information. Processes registration in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. Works directly with the Manager of Patient Access to insure efficient and effective departmental operations. Responsible for the delivery of quality performance and service excellence through all interactions.
Education
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED.
Experience
Prefer two years of clerical experience, including proficiency of Microsoft Windows. Requires a minimum of two years customer service.
Other Qualifications
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must attend the required Patient Access Services training class; and must pass test upon completion with a score of 90% or better. Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications. Demonstrate ability to multi-talk and work independently using critical thinking skills.
