Responsibilities: The oncology infusion pharmacist will provide patient care as part of the Medical Oncology treatment team in the Packnett Family Cancer Institute (PFCI) located on the Parkview Bryan Hospital Campus. This individual will be part of a dedicated team of pharmacists, nurses, and licensed practitioners as part of the full PPG Oncology treatment team between PFCI on the main campus of PRMC and the satellite location at Parkview Bryan Hospital. The full care team includes physicians, nurse practitioners, patient care nurses, research nurses, medical assistants, dietary, and care navigators. The PPG Oncology team cares for a variety of oncology diagnoses, with collaborative provider representation at disease-specific Tumor Boards for enhanced diagnostic confirmation and treatment plan selection. The pharmacist will be part of our growing oncology service line focusing on caring for patients within the PPG Oncology offices and Parkview Bryan Oncology Infusion Center. This role will facilitate providing exceptional oncology patient care in the outpatient setting, assisting with transitions of care, and delivering high quality clinical oncology pharmacy services to both patient and care team. This pharmacist will work closely with the medical oncology treatment team and the inpatient pharmacy team for medication procurement and preparation. This pharmacist will provide direct patient care and oversight and will have the opportunity to participate in pharmacy-based projects and multidisciplinary committees, and will have the opportunity to precept pharmacy learners. The PFCI pharmacy team is collaborative and is looking for an additional pharmacist to enhance the patient experience.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution and have experience providing oncology care. Pharmacy licensure, or eligibility, in Ohio is required. Candidates must have a high level of oncology practice skills (PGY-1/2 residency or equivalent practice experience preferred), enthusiasm for patient care, and the interpersonal skills needed to interact effectively with health professionals, patients, and students. Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy (BCOP) preferred. BCOP required within 12 months of hire or once BPS qualifications are met.
