Summary
Summary
- Under the direction of the Director operates EKG equipment and produces diagnostic electrocardiograms documenting electrophysiological variations of the heart muscle.
- Examinations performed include diagnostic EKG's, stress procedures, event monitors, Holter monitors, and ambulatory BP monitors.
- Responsible for assuring a high level of quality in all procedures and providing the interpreting physician with all of the necessary information in order to make an accurate diagnosis.
Education
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED, preferably a science background.
- Must have satisfactorily completed the department training for EKG tech.
License/Certification
- Must have current CPR certification.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
Other Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. , 150 lbs. shared lifting.
- Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.
- Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
- Must be able to work weekends, and holidays.
