This position is a full-time, clinical position, to assist our Rehab and Wellness team
The position will be Monday through Friday for a total of 40 hours per week
The goal of this position is to elevate the care we give to our patients by participating in process improvement projects, developing education for patients and clinicians, and offloading administrative tasks to allow our front-line providers to increase their capacity to spend more time in direct patient care. Specific tasks associated with this position will include the intern Creating Patient/Provider Education with therapists, improving operational efficiency and process improvement (room turnover, helping patients in/out of department, chart audits for compliance, administrative assistance, etc.) We are looking for a candidate who takes initiative with strong interpersonal and organizational skills that thrives in a team environment and is willing to engage, learn, create, research, assess, and assist our team in any way needed. This position would be ideal for a person interested in rehab therapy (PT, OT, ST, Exercise Physiology, ATC, PTA, COTA) or other health care occupations that would collaborate with rehab therapy (MD, PA, RN, RT, Dietitian, etc.).

Must meet one of the following requirements current CNA EMT or Paramedic certification or must take Parkviews Patient Care Foundations course at time of hire 2 years experience in a healthcare related field training time will be determined based on experience currently enrolled in nursing school having completed first clinical rotations if hired prior to 12/3/18 two (2) years military medical experience will be accepted
Must have current CPR at or above the Healthcare Provider level from the American Heart Association or obtain within 60 days of hire
CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification preferred or must have the equivalent of health care experience and education two (2) years previous experience in a nursing support role OR a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited program (ASN or BSN) having completed their first clinical rotation on an extended care or inpatient nursing unit (nursing school transcripts required)
Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
If assigned to the Parkview Randallia Family Birthing Center must be bonded as a notary public within 6 months of hire
Previous experience is preferred in direct patient care through work and/or school program
Must have good verbal and written communication skills
Must have a working knowledge of computer skills and applications
Demonstrates ability to critically think
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with 100 pounds.
Must have current CPR at or above the Healthcare Provider level from the American Heart Association or obtain within 60 days of hire
