Process Improvement Specialist
Summary
As part of Parkview’s culture to always strive for excellence, the Process Improvement team is focused on supporting the organization’s strategic initiatives; to support the highest value of care at the best cost ensuring sustainability into the future. Is essential in expanding the culture of continuous process improvement and the pursuit of excellence. Collaborates, facilitates, and plans system process improvement initiatives to ensure Parkview obtains and sustains excellence in patient experience, quality, safety, cost of care for patients, providers, and co-workers. Serves as an advisor to and works closely with system leaders, clinical and non-clinical teams, quality, ancillary, analytics, finance, and physician leaders to analyze data and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Facilitates and convenes team around problem-solving to address improvement areas. Arranges and maintains multiple projects along with priorities by using appropriate tools and methodologies. Determines project metrics and tracks, monitors, and measures progress and outcomes to optimize workflows, improve efficiency, reduce costs and improve co-worker and patient satisfaction.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Lean/Six Sigma Green or Black belt (or equivalent) recommended. PMP (or equivalent) desired.
Experience
3-5+ Years’ experience in healthcare industry and/or continuous improvement that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. Advanced MS Office experience (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Preferred: 3+ years working in a health care environment. 3+ years applying process improvement principles in work. Previous teaching/coaching/mentoring experience.
