Summary
Summary
Responsible for assisting with daily clinical and clerical operations of the assigned OrthoExpress offices. Works in collaboration with clinical team to provide quality care to patients and quality support to providers through consistent communication.
EducationMust be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.
Licensure/CertificationMust be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). CPR required.
Addendums are required for 0153 Nurse Leader, 0249 Registry RN, 0252 Registered Nurse, 0235 Advanced Registered Nurse, and 0236 Expert Registered Nurse. To view addendums, go to the job description page on Parkview’s intranet.
ExperienceMedical assistant or physician office experience required. Sports Medicine experience preferred.
Other QualificationsMust have solid verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, clinical quality initiatives preferred. Must be familiar with computers, electronic medical record experience preferred. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
