Ortho Care Navigator - MA

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Certification:
  • Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.
  • Must be certified as one of the following:
    • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
    • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT)
    • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
    • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
    • Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA)
  • CPR certification required.
• Experience:
  • Medical assistant or physician office experience required.
  • Referral management and scheduling experience is a bonus.
• Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, and clinical quality initiatives preferred.
  • Familiarity with computers required; electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
