Senior Internal Auditor

Summary

Summary: Performs risk-based audits and advisory projects within the Financial, Operational, Compliance, and IT areas to evaluate internal controls, operational effectiveness, adherence to policies and procedures, and regulatory compliance. Manages and directs other auditors assigned to projects. Clearly communicates project results to leadership at multiple levels across the organization. Oversees the development and follow up of corrective action plans by action owners to provide reasonable assurance identified risks are addressed in a timely and effective manner. Contributes to the development of the internal audit work plan and participates in continuous risk assessment.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, Business or a related field.

Licensure/Certification: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or related designation preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 2 years' auditing or accounting experience, with healthcare experience a plus; or a minimum of 5 years' healthcare experience. Should demonstrate: ability to work independently with minimal oversight; strong interpersonal skills; solid analytical skills with the ability to assess operational and strategic impact; ability to develop clear and informative deliverables; strong organizational skills and the ability to address multiple issues and coordinate multiple initiatives with appropriate prioritization; innovative and proactive problem solving; and readily adapt to change.
