IS Information Security Summer Non-Clinical Intern
Summary
The intern will support the Identity and Access Management (IAM) team by assisting with tasks related to Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) while gaining familiarity with IAM technologies, general IT operations, and organizational processes. They will contribute to small IAM and automation projects, as well as user provisioning and de-provisioning activities across multiple systems, working under the guidance of experienced team members. The intern will also help respond to incoming access-related requests in a timely manner with team support and learn how access changes impact clinical and operational workflows, with a strong focus on maintaining secure and uninterrupted access. In addition, the intern will stay informed about basic identity and access management best practices and learn how these practices are applied within Parkview Health.
The intern will be assigned one to two projects, including assisting with further automation of Active Directory groups and streamlining provisioning processes, as well as supporting the team in a single identity initiative.
The preferred skillset for this intern includes basic knowledge of access controls and multi-factor authentication (MFA) methods.
The internship will be structured as a 24–40 hour work week, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This internship is best suited for students pursuing programs or areas of study focused on Information Services or Cybersecurity. Must be a current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. A specific educational focus or degree may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of internship. A specific license and/or certification may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of internship. GPA of 3.0 or above Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department of internship.
