- Education: An Associate's degree or completion of at least sixty (60) credit hours toward a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Certifications:
- CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design): Basic and Advanced Certifications required within six (6) months of appointment.
- BTAM (Behavioral Threat Assessment Management): Completion of the Threat Evaluation Reporting Course (TERC) or equivalent training/licensing in threat assessments required within one (1) year of appointment.
- IAHSS (International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety): Certification as a Certified Health Care Protection Administrator is preferred.
- Licenses: Must maintain a valid state driver’s license.
- Law Enforcement Certification: Must be certified through the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy within one (1) year of employment.

Experience:
- A minimum of ten (10) years of law enforcement, military, or security experience is required.
- At least five (5) years of verifiable supervisory experience in healthcare security, general security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is required.

Other Requirements:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
