Administration Summer Non-Clinical Intern
Summary
The administrative intern will have a unique opportunity to observe nearly all aspects of operations within a rural community hospital. Over the course of the summer, the intern will rotate through various hospital departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of how each area functions and collaborates to deliver quality care.
In addition to departmental exposure, the intern will participate in meetings and events and be assigned project work in areas such as finance, patient experience, marketing, and community health. Project assignments will vary throughout the summer and may include developing presentations for both internal and external audiences, creating internal communications, analyzing patient survey data, and coordinating events.
Ideal candidates will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be comfortable working independently, and have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva. The internship is a 30–32 hour per week position, with flexibility to work either three 10-hour days or four 8-hour days. While most weeks will fall within this range, occasional evening or weekend hours may be required, though this will be the exception rather than the norm. Students pursuing degrees in marketing, journalism, or healthcare administration are particularly well-suited for this opportunity.

A specific license and/or certification may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship. GPA of 3.0 or above Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department of internship.
