Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled, compassionate, and driven Lead Physical Therapist to join our team as a site leader for a new, specialized outpatient clinic focusing on rehabilitating high-performance athletes across the age spectrum. In this hybrid role, you will gain opportunities to develop operational leadership skills while maintaining high-level clinical skills. You will oversee daily clinic operations in collaboration with system rehab leaders, lead program development, and implement rehabilitative programs to safely return athletes of all ages to high-performance physical demands following musculoskeletal injuries or surgeries. This will include, but is not limited to, sports injuries, post-operative cases, industrial injuries, and active adults.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with Parkview leadership, physicians, and surgeons throughout Parkview Sports Medicine, Orthopedics NorthEast (ONE), Parkview Physician’s Group, and Workplace Ergonomics and Rehabilitation, ensuring collaborative care and streamlined communication to support optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for supervision of staff and daily operations.
- Coordinate, monitor, and recommend improvement actions for clinical outcomes, procedures, and documentation to assure quality patient care.
- Participate in promoting a positive department image through interactions with managers, physicians, consumers, and staff.
- Evaluate patients' physical conditions using tests, medical history, and observation to develop individualized treatment plans.
- Design and implement treatment interventions for conditions including sports injuries, sprains/strains, post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, and work-related injuries.
- Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities as appropriate.
- Maintain close professional collaboration with referring physicians and orthopedic surgeons to coordinate care, provide timely updates, and optimize treatment plans based on medical findings and progress.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and post-discharge care.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with legal and professional standards.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.
- Leads and participates in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist (or eligible)
- CPR certification
- Strong clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and manual therapy skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Enjoys a fast-paced environment
- Seeking leadership development
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy with experience in sports medicine
- Certification or training in specialized techniques (e.g., McKenzie, Maitland, Dry Needling, Graston)
- Prior leadership experience
- Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic)

Work Schedule:
Typical hours are Monday–Friday with flexible scheduling options. No weekend or holiday coverage is required.
