Summary
Internship Job Description
The Rehabilitation Department is seeking a dedicated intern to support daily clinical operations and patient care activities. The intern will assist with maintaining departmental logbooks, ensuring cleanliness and organization of the department, preparing treatment rooms for patient sessions, and monitoring patients during therapy treatments. This role provides valuable exposure to rehabilitation practices and patient interaction within a professional healthcare environment.
Key Projects
- Ensure completion and accuracy of daily, weekly, and monthly departmental log sheets.
- Oversee daily preparation and readiness of treatment rooms to support high-quality patient care.

Work Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
- 8-hour shifts beginning at 8:00 AM or 8:30 AM
Education
Students pursuing degrees in rehabilitation sciences, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or related healthcare professions are encouraged to apply.
Must meet one of the following requirements current CNA EMT or Paramedic certification or must take Parkviews Patient Care Foundations course at time of hire 2 years’ experience in a healthcare related field training time will be determined based on experience currently enrolled in nursing school having completed first clinical rotations if hired prior to 12/3/18 two (2) years military medical experience will be accepted. Must have current CPR at or above the Healthcare Provider level from the American Heart Association or obtain within 60 days of hire. CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification preferred or must have the equivalent of health care experience and education two (2) years previous experience in a nursing support role OR a nursing student currently enrolled in an accredited program (ASN or BSN) having completed their first clinical rotation on an extended care or inpatient nursing unit (nursing school transcripts required). Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). If assigned to the Parkview Randallia Family Birthing Center must be bonded as a notary public within 6 months of hire. Previous experience is preferred in direct patient care through work and/or school program. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must have a working knowledge of computer skills and applications. Demonstrates ability to critically think. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with 100 pounds.
