Trauma Pgm Nurse

Summary

Requires an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana. Must obtain ICD-10 wihtin 18 months of hire and maintain ICD-10 requirements while in the role. Must complete one time certification in AIS and trauma registry course within 18 months of hire. Must obtain CAISS within 5 years of hire and maintain the CAISS certification while in the role. Must maintain all required certifications required by the American College of Surgeons specific to trauma registrar. Individuals exempt from the above requirements are employees with PRN employment status. The trauma department will monitor all certifications. TNCC or ATCN is desirable. Three years critical care experience. Must be able to handle multiple tasks and coordinate events. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be able to handle a constantly changing environment in order to meet the needs of the patients and requirements to maintain the trauma verification data collection requirements.
