Clinical Nutrition Supervisor
Summary
The Clinical Nutrition Supervisor is responsible for the leadership of daily operations, financial, programmatic, and human resources related to clinical nutrition operations of assigned areas. This includes establishing, meeting and continuously monitoring the annual clinical business plan goals and objectives. Is familiar with the Nutrition Care Process and possess strong clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills. Oversees the clinical nutrition dietitians as assigned including standards of care, specialty programs, policies and procedures. Responsible for regulatory and accreditation preparation and readiness. Manages and implements process improvement projects. Represents clinical nutrition on interdisciplinary committees as assigned. Reports to the Clinical Nutrition Manager and works collaboratively with the department leadership team to achieve excellent patient care and customer service.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics or Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics accepted equivalence; completed internship approved by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Masters Degree in Dietetics or related field preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Registered Dietitian through the Commission of Dietetic Registration. Indiana State License. Serv Safe Certified within 6 months of hire date.
Experience
1-2 years supervisory and leadership experience in health care setting preferred. 3-5 years work experience as Registered Dietitian.
Other Qualifications
The scope and complexity of the position requires successful incumbents to possess a diverse and highly developed skill set including but not limited to: time management, communication, creativity, vision, teamwork, human resource management, conflict resolution, clinical knowledge base/skills, mentorship, change management, and teaching. Must be available to be on call/work occasional evenings and weekends. Must have reliable transportation to travel to multiple Parkview locations in Indiana and Ohio as assigned. Must have proven supervisory and leadership experience.
