RN - Hospice
Summary
This position is for an Admission RN. Hospice admit nurses play a vital role in supporting patients and families as they transition into hospice care. This position blends clinical expertise with compassionate communication and seamless coordination to ensure timely, smooth, and patient-centered admissions from hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, or home settings. Summary
Independently plans and provides excellent professional nursing care for patients in accordance with physician orders, established departmental policies and procedures, American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, Indiana Nurse Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics
Education
Requires a Diploma in Nursing or an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Licensure/Certification
Must provide current RN license by Indiana State Board of Nursing. Must have valid state driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance. Must have current CPR certification.
Experience
Must have one year of experience in a patient care setting such as acute care or nursing home.
Other Qualifications
Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with 100 pounds. Demonstrates working knowledge of computer systems. Must demonstrate competency in the delivery of patient care including competency based practice and age specific care
