Epic Trainer
Responsible for providing Epic specific application classroom training and at the elbow support to all end users. Assists with trouble tickets reported from end users. Knowledge transfer with co-workers and client base is a foundational component of the position. Exhibits a learning approach in achieving knowledge proficiency in several Epic applications from a functional perspective. Consistently utilizes critical thinking in resolving issues. Utilizes adult training techniques in all the training given.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of a Associate’s degree in healthcare, computer or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- Must become credentialed as an Epic Credentialed Trainer within 2 weeks of completing Credentialed Trainer Course in one application.
- Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:
- Complete a credentialing exam with a minimum score of 85% within 3 attempts.
- Give a formal panel presentation on the material they will be teaching and obtain a passing score within 2 attempts.
- Must remain current with all versions of the electronic health record.
- Minimum requirement of 2 years experience, 4 years preferred in education, healthcare or related field.
- Demonstrates ability to enthusiastically deliver content and build relationships. Ability to engage classroom participants. Ability to link content to individual and team success. Ability to navigate learning styles within diverse groups. Possesses strong attention to detail. Proven ability to perform multiple priorities and work effectively in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment. Ability to communicate, both verbally and written, effectively with HR and technical teams, as well as leaders and end users. Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the user community. Must be available and accessible 24/7 when on call.
