Strategy & Growth Summer Non-Clinical Intern
Summary
The Growth Strategy Intern will support Parkview’s strategic planning and business development initiatives by conducting market research, analyzing healthcare trends, and assisting with evaluation of new growth opportunities. The role will provide exposure to senior leadership decision-making processes and hands-on experience in advancing strategic projects that shape Parkview’s long-term initiatives.
Market Growth Analysis: Support in building a competitor and market landscape assessment for a priority growth market. This could include mapping existing providers, analyzing patient patterns, and identifying geographic areas of unmet demand.
Deal Valuation Support: Develop a valuation model template for potential partnerships, joint ventures, or acquisitions. Benchmark comparable transactions, gather financial/volume assumptions, and prepare analyses to inform leadership discussions.
For this position, the specific skillset of this position is seeking:
- Analytical & Quantitative Skills: Ability to work with data (Excel, financial modeling, basic statistics) to support market and valuation analyses
- Research & Synthesis: Strong skills in gathering and summarizing market intelligence, industry trends, and competitor insights
- Business & Strategic Thinking: Understanding of (or interest in) healthcare strategy, market growth, and partnership models
- Communication & Presentation: Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to create concise PowerPoints and executive-ready deliverables
- Collaboration & Professionalism: Comfort working with cross-functional teams
Each week, the Growth Strategy Intern will participate in team and cross-functional meetings to gain exposure to active initiatives and leadership discussions. They will spend dedicated time conducting market research, building financial or valuation analyses, and preparing presentation materials to support strategic projects. Regular check-ins with their supervisor will provide feedback, guidance, and opportunities to share progress with the broader team. This position will be 40 hours per week and Monday thru Friday. Ideally, this would like a candidate who is currently in earning their Masters of Healthcare Administration or MBA.
Must be a current undergraduate college student or graduate college student. A specific educational focus or degree may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship. A specific license and/or certification may be preferred, depending on the hosting department of the internship. GPA of 3.0 or above. Submission of Cover Letter Resume and Letter of Recommendation. Other qualifications may vary by department of internship.
