Summary
Summary
Works independently and is responsible for process, methodology and database administration to house clinical cancer information for multiple tumor sites, cancer pathology, and for the Packnett Family Cancer Institute (PFCI) branding, quality and tumor site team metrics. Facilitates coordination of data information through reporting from multiple systems, i.e. WEBI, Workbench, Epic, Oncolog, Excel and/or current/retrospective chart review. Develops and implements strategies to improve clinical documentation; maintains expertise in all required applications to be able to collate and analyze needed data for PFCI initiatives. At the discretion of the DQM Director works closely with physician and operational leadership to identify, develop, and implement process improvement initiatives driven by data. Has oversight and responsibility to produce timely, valid, accurate and reliable data. Maintains expertise, data tracking, and reporting to ensure compliance with certification requirements as designated by executive leadership for CoC, NAPRC, and NAPBC. Works closely with physician leaders within the Packnett Family Cancer Institute, throughout Parkview to ensure NCCN, TJC, AJCC and other subspecialty governing body standards are met. At the discretion of the DQM Director, acts as a data/process coordinator with physician leadership to collaborate and deliver on the annual physician chair clinical quality objectives as outlined by the hospital President. Works collaboratively with research to identify patient populations when considering cancer study designs.
Education
Requires an Associate's Degree in Healthcare or related field.
Licensure/Certification

Experience
Must have at least 3 years of experience in healthcare-related field, database experience, and demonstrable proficiency in Excel. Prefer experience with healthcare related applications.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to demonstrate an above average understanding of data analysis and the importance of data integrity. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have lean or process improvement knowledge. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be detailed oriented and perform tasks at a high rate of accuracy. Must be able to comply with Parkview's Standards of Behavior. Proficient computer and technical skills necessary in order to perform the tasks required, including advanced knowledge of information systems, database, and spreadsheet applications.
