Summary
Under the direction of the Supervisor, Manager, and Director, this position is responsible for answering multiple phone lines to schedule ancillary testing as ordered by clinical staff across various departments and locations. The role includes conducting professional patient interviews, triaging phone calls, and gathering accurate demographic, biographical, and insurance information.
This position performs patient registration and scheduling in an efficient, accurate, and timely manner. It serves as a primary point of contact via phone for care team members and patients, entering all necessary information into the Parkview Health scheduling system and ensuring data integrity across all systems used. The role also involves securing and identifying required medical records to ensure availability for hospital staff and aligning patients with appropriate services based on their diagnosis.

Education

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting.

Proficiency in Windows-based PC applications required.
Other Qualifications

Proficient in keyboarding and operation of standard office equipment (multi-line phone systems, calculators, copiers).

Basic knowledge and use of internet applications.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrates professional telephone etiquette and exceptional skills in organization, listening, time management, and problem solving.

Must be flexible, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to adapt to change and perform effectively under stress.

Creativity and collaboration with clinical staff when addressing challenges are essential.

Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
